Nigeria veteran singer, Innocent Idibia popularly known as 2Baba, had let the cat out, about the true essence and importance and value he feels Nigeria popular singer, Wizkid had added to today’s music.
The legend singer who was speaking during an interview section was all full of admiration for the younger singer, who he said was a legend.
Speaking exclusively, 2Baba in his own words had said that though he had said legend, and that, that is how he sees him and what he is to his generation. Speaking further, he had said that many artist today term themselves legend immediately they release one song, but that looking at Wizkid, with his songs and lyrics, when you listen to songs like “Ojuelegba” and few other songs he’s done, that you will come to understand that lyrically, Wizkid has got some good lyrical songs that will stand the test of time.. But according to 2Baba, he has come to understand that Wizkid with some other songs he’s doing or done, has basically been trying to please his fans and go with the trend of today’s blend.
Nonetheless, he opines that he might switch to his real pattern of songs which have good sound lyrical meanings when he gets older, as the songs he’s doing at the moment is just a dish out of what the public wants.. However, 2Baba has insisted Wizkid is truly a legend without no disputing.
