Ahead of today’s concert, the queen of Rap Cardi B who is debuting her first African tour since her break out in 2017, was hosted by Cool Fm Lagos today as she shares her journey and experience since she arrived Nigeria. One of the trending moment yesterday was when Cardi said she wanted to see the real Nigeria and from her words on the interview at Cool Fm with N6 and Taymi B , She has likened Lagos state to New York City – The rapper who also adopts a new name for her daughter Kulture as “Ayomide”. when asked her experience with motherhood, she intercepted by saying ”
She really has changed me,” she says of her year-old daughter.”These things now, I gotta think twice when I got my daughter. I can not mess up because I will mess up a lot of things for her and I will go to jail,” Cardi narrates, pointing out the pivotal decisions her daughter Kulture has made her make . “So I’m like you know what? I gotta change for my kid.”
Cardi B also went further to speaks on her collaboration with Davido’s on Fall remix which she said that based on the speculations of the viral video that revealed a surprise verse of her on Davido’s hit song “Fall” that the song had been recorded as far back as 9 months ago and her label did have something to do with the delay in release.
The Grammy Award-winning rapper, revealed some unique things she loves about Nigeria as she tries to keep things real. On the confession 0f some fascinating things she’s found out about Nigeria, many has come to love her even as the interaction during her interview was all fun. However, some Nigeria entertainers like Dare Art Alade has also come out to describe the singer as a great entertainer while she praised self-acclaimed African Giant and label mate, Burna Boy, for his raw talent. The rapper also revealed that Burna Boy’s 2018 single Ye as “one of her favorite songs”
