Popular Nigerian rapper, Jude Abaga popularly referred to as MI has officially announced his exit from Chocolate city, today 6th of March 2020. The 38 year old made this announcement on Instagram where he shared a short video narrating his journey under the record label.
The Mr incredible crooner also declared the start of his new self-owned record label, Incredible Music. In addition, MI released his 10th studio project, Judah The EP, making it his first release under Incredible Music.The artist has also announced TASCK, an arm that handles Corporate Social Responsibilities, disclosing that his first plan is to impact the social media bill.
Recall that in 2007, MI Abaga joined Chocolate City and in 2015, he assumed the role of CEO. Under the label, he released nine projects – five albums, three mix-tapes and one playlist. In 2008, he released his critically acclaimed and impactful debut, Talk About It. In 2010, he released his magnus opus, MI2: The Movie.
The numerous award winning musician became the most sought-after African rapper at different points under Chocolate city. Asides that, it was during that run as an artist that he built his legitimate claim to being Nigeria’s greatest rapper ever. Announcing his departure form Chocolate City, the rapper wrote via his Instagram page;
