Nigerian Filmmaker Editi Effiong who went on his way today through the social media to compare between two different personalities who had excelled in their diffent fields and made history.
The veteran Nigerian Writer, had compared Wole Soyinka with American singer Beyonce on various impartations made in their generation and even as there is always a generational roll over.
According to Effiong, it was a matter of generational relevance as he hinted that Beyonce has never quoted the iconic writer.
Effiong also hinted that Wole Soyinka and his words may be only relevant to the generation before his.
Sharing on Twitter, Effiong wrote in part: “Generational relevance has an outsized impact in perception of greatness. The Nobel prize had a huge relevance on my parents’ generation…”
