On Monday, National Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, joined the list of people who admire him for what he did in 2015.
Although ex-president Goodluck Jonathan has been out of the limelight since he lost his re-election bid in 2015, he is still loved by many for conceding defeat following the presidential election.
Oshiomhole presented the ‘Person of the Decade’ award to Jonathan, represented by Peter Obi, former Anambra State Governor, at the 25th anniversary of ThisDay held at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, Oshiomhole said he was proud of Jonathan for conceding defeat.
He noted that conceding defeat even before the final results were officially read made Jonathan occupy a special place in the history of Nigeria.
But it seems Obi, who was the running mate of Atiku Abubakar at last year’s polls, is yet to get over the circumstances that led to the defeat of his party – PDP.
Receiving the award on behalf of Jonathan, he stated that during the ex-president’s time, there was respect for rule of law and opportunities were plenty for everyone. While he didn’t go into details, he also claimed that one didn’t need to bribe judges before getting justice.
