Nollywood star, Funke Akindele has given a response to Twitter trolls who have called out for her arrest for celebrating her husband’s birthday yesterday after instructions given by the federal government for everyone to stay back in order to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
The hosted party which had triggered anger from twitter users had said they were not expecting any violation of the order and even if there could have been a violation, they were not expecting to see that from the respected actress. Who have inspired so many young people and is looked upon.
Although her husband, JJC Skillz has defended her, Funke has also reacted, stating that she didn’t go against the rules of the government by celebrating the birthday party which definitely hosted more than 50 persons including Naira Marley and Eniola Badmus.
According to her, they were in the middle of filming her soon-to-be released movie before the lockdown started and after the lockdown kicked off they were all camped at Amen Estate so for that reason everyone at the party was safe, healthy and free from the deadly Coronavirus. Reacting, she has replied to a particular twitter user;
She replied the Twitter user thus:
”Uncle don’t create unnecessary sensation. #omoghettothesaga was to be filmed Before the lockdown and some of us had been camped in Amen estate. So we had to stay in there. So we are safe and happy!!! Let’s not be NEGATIVE!!”

However, many still felt that her little explanation was not worthy enough for her actions.
