Veteran Nigerian celebrated singer, Eedris Abdulkareem has finally opened up on the series of Saga he had with 50 Cent from the very time he had come to perform in Nigeria for the Star Mega Jam Concert in 2004. The legendary singer who had opened up about the event that had happened some years ago, revealed this during a live show and chat with singer and producer Samklef.
Speaking furiously and narrating what happened had mentioned that he did felt so disappointed with the people he had thought were friends, as both Charley Boy and Festus Kayamo betrayed and snitched on him because of money him. According to him, Charley Boy made plans with the press and Nigerian Brewery to blacklist him as he collected money from the Nigerian Breweries as this single act also went further in tarnishing his image as most of the press are hungry and would do anything for some small change, he said “Don’t blame the Nigerian media, they were hungry” and the next minute, the blogs and most media outlets started saying; ‘Eedris slapped 50 Cent, Eedris abducted 50 Cent”.
The “Nigeria Jagajaga” crooner also posited that his crime, was demanding for his right which is what has finally opened door for the new generational artist today, that they are not paid change to perform which was the point he was trying to make as at that time.

Recall that in 2004 the outspoken Nigerian singer Eedris Abdulkareem during the Star Mega Jam Concert had some very serious beef with the international celebrated rapper, 50 Cent, which led to 50 Cent not performing in remaining two shows. The issue which involved both the Nigerian Breweries, became a very trivial issue which led to the legendary singer losing many contracts and favors from legible persons and companies as the story that was told out to the public didn’t quite favor the singer. The singer who had demanded at that time, to be paid and treated equally as the international rapper, 50 Cent, took his anger on the company public as this led to the huge beef that was settle just few years ago, however, this issue remains ever green to many who had witnessed or read about the issue as at the time it happened.
