Nigeria Port Harcourt son singer, Duncan Mighty who of recent was arrested for defrauding the Imo state governor N11 million, has been released by the Imo state Police as statement released by the Imo State Police public relation officer PRO stated that he was released on bail as he is scheduled to report back for more investigation, according to report, the date for his re-appearance is yet to be disclosed.
The arrest which followed a petition which was written by an up and coming artist M2, who had claimed that Duncan Mighty who had entered a deal to manage, promote and avail opportunities for the collaboration of the artist with other established and top artists in Nigeria under the Young Wealth Record Label owned by Duncan Mighty failed to fulfill his own side of the deal. The deal which had involved the then Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha through the office of his special adviser on entertainment didn’t pull through. The signed agreement which was sealed up with the sum of N11 million naira which was paid to Duncan Mighty, however on collecting the money had not fulfilled his side of the agreement.
However, the Imo state Police PRO in their statement had said that the artist who was said to have been kidnapped by gunmen, was not in the actual sense kidnapped but arrested for a case in which he had defrauded an artist and failed to keep his promise.
Duncan Mighty upon his release had tweeted on some hours ago on his twitter handle that by saying;
