While many rumors have been on-going since governor of Oyo state tested positive to the viral virus, some rumors had it that singer, Davido might have contracted it after their recent meet up. Governor Makinde while confirming his status yesterday has also asked those that have come in contact with him to also go and test for coronavirus in order to curb more of the spread.
Meanwhile, Davido had taken a first test after he returned from his US tour which was aborted due to coronavirus currently ravaging the countries of the world.
On arriving Nigeria, he took his whole crew including his wife and son.. about 32 of them for coronavirus testing with results all coming out negative except Chioma’s own result. Before he took his crew and fiancee for testing, Davido visited Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, for a show where he had also met with Governor Seyi Makinde at his place and took pictures with him, which he had did shared on his social media handle.
Just two days ago, Seyi Makinde announced that he is positive to coronavirus. He was forced to take the test after news broke out that one of the sons of former vice president Atiku Abubakar tested positive after he attended a rally with him in Ibadan.
However, this had led into more doubts to Davido a.k.a OBO turning negative. Nevertheless, the need for clarity became imperative that the singer check back and run some test after rumors started flying that he has already contracted the dreaded disease as two persons whom Davido also had close contact with tested positive to the virus, the singer however, decided to take a second test which turned out negative.
Dancing down the rumor, the singer has taken to his twitter handle to tweet about his recent test, in his words,
He tweeted: “I did a second test for the covid19 virus again …. once again I’m Negative”.
