The Nigerian music legend, 2Baba who got his name in the hearts of many Nigerian after his release of his hit track from his Face 2 Face Album “African Queen” stayed through to making good music and even after decades was still able to keep the pace, making himself relevant in the industry. The 44 years old singer and music producer who just recently, on the 28 December, 2019 set the stage as he celebrates his 20 years of doing music, saw some of the biggest name in Nigeria industry attend and perform in the concert which was held at the Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island Lagos.
Among the A-list Nigeria stars that performed at the concert was Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Davido, Falz, 9ice, Adekunle Gold, Skibii, BigTril, Mayorkun, Rema and Dremo. Others who will perform are Kenny Blaq, Jeff Akoh, Sexy Steel, Wale Turner, GreyC, Attitude, Lyta and Tclassic.
However, Nigeria’s starboy Wizkid during his bomb performance at the concert paid some deserving accolades to the legend as he openly announced to all that 2Baba was his inspiration and push towards music.
According to the young superstar, he was inspired to make music by 2baba. The Nigerian music star Ayodeji Balogun aka Wizkid, who had lit the crowd during his performance made the revelation as he paid his respect just like his other colleagues who had recognized the great contribution 2Baba made in the Nigeria music industry.
The 2Baba’s Music celebration concert which saw lots of Nigeria’s celebrity in attendance was indeed a memorable music gathering.
While Wizkid had mounted the stage he had said;
“Tonight is not about Starboy, I want you all to know that this man right here inspired me to make music,”
Quite emotional it was for 2Baba who had was just watching and sipping in, in the mood with reflection on the journey so far.
